In order to ensure implementation of Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to establish an educational production cluster in the oil and gas industry" No. PP-309dd. July 7, 2022, in August-December 2022, the Coordinating Council of the educational production cluster in the oil and gas industry held a number of effective conferences and meetings at Uzbekistan GTL Plant located in Kashkadarya region.
On the initiative of Mekhriddin Abdullaev, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, a training course on argon welding of stainless and carbon steel was launched at Uzbekistan GTL Plant.
At present, this training course is intended for the first 5 trainees of training center of UNG training LLC, owned by Uzbekneftgaz JSC, and is held by Dilshad Khan - an international level welding specialist from India with 20-year experience, the leading welder of Maintenance service of Uzbekistan GTL Plant, who provides theoretical and practical training using modern welding standards (ASME BPVC sec. IX, GTAW va SMAW) and advanced methods. In addition, he teaches welding techniques for carbon steel, seamless pipe, inconal, monal, duplex, stainless steel, super duplex, and metals such as aluminium.
The training course includes master classes and theoretical lessons of argon welding of stainless and carbon steel, which is considered an advanced welding method, and safe use of special devices. In order to further improve practical skills of trainees, their on-the-job training in the repair mechanical center of Uzbekistan GTL plant covers welding equipment (function, structure, operation principle, operating procedures), properties of basic and welding materials, welding technology, quality control of welded joints, methods of repairing defects and welding safety rules.
At the end of the educational-practical course, the knowledge and skills of the trainees will be assessed by representatives of the specialized institution. International level certificates in argon welding will be awarded to trainees who have successfully passed the theoretical and practical exams.
