In 2023, industrial practice will be organized for 226 students at the Uzbekistan GTL plant (hereinafter - GTL plant). As part of the educational and production cluster, the GTL plant actively cooperates with higher educational institutions in the following 4 areas:

1. Organization of student practical training;

2. Organization of internships for professors and teachers;

3. The plant and the educational institution conduct joint scientific research;

4. Involving experienced plant specialists in student classes.

The “UzGTL Scholarship Program” and “The Most Selfless Teacher” competitions are also held.

Over 2,000 students took part in the scholarship program, held among students in September-November 2022; 12 winners and 18 active participants were selected based on the results of the competition. Also, 170 students who showed good results at the 2nd stage of the competition were given the opportunity to undergo practical training at the plant in 2023.

At the competition “The Most Selfless Teacher”, which took place in May-September 2022, 9 best teachers were selected. The winning teachers will be determined by conducting a survey among GTL plant employees and selected promising students, as well as university students. The most recognized teachers became winners of the competition. Based on proposals from higher educational institutions and the results of the competition, a decision was made to organize internships for 50 teachers from higher educational institutions.

In addition, within the framework of a memorandum concluded with the Termez Institute of Engineering and Technology, 20 students studying in 3-4 years were selected to participate in the practice on a competitive basis.

Thus, during 2023, 50 teachers and 226 students will undergo internships at the plant.

During the internship and practical training, special clothing for teachers and students, 3 hot meals a day, a hostel and transport around the territory are provided by the plant. Experienced specialists are assigned to students for the duration of their internship as practice supervisors.
